Ordering & Shipping

Placing your hood deposit/payment enters you into our design stage, where our Master Designer will work exclusively on your personal hood design. Your shop drawing will then be shared with you for review, at which time any additional design changes may be made. Once you have approved a final drawing, your hood will be submitted for fabrication, which is when your lead time begins.
Have the width of your cooktop and the floor-to-ceiling height in your kitchen readily available. Plus, the measurements between any existing wall cabinets and a general idea of your exhaust needs. Our Master Designer can help you determine all of this information as well.

Lead time is approximately 7-9 weeks. However, you can expedite an order in 3-4 weeks for a flat rate of $2,500.

Shipping is free to the lower 48 states. For shipping to Alaska and Hawaii, please add $575.
You may submit your change request through your approval portal or by emailing a response to your shop drawing.

Yes, we ship to Canada. Shipping to Canada is an additional charge of $775.

BUILD QUALITY & MAINTENANCE

Your copper or brass hood has a protective clear coating and requires minimum maintenance. Just wipe copper, brass, or stainless with a warm, wet rag. If you encounter a stubborn grease stain, you can use a small dab of a mild detergent like Dawn®.

Sink basins are uncoated and require a little more maintenance. Ensure you dry the basin after each use. Be careful not to set hot pots and pans in the basin. The outside rims and aprons of our sinks are clear-coated. Follow the same hood maintenance as above.

We fabricate our hoods and sinks using only pure copper, brass, and stainless sheets. We keep the art of copper manufacturing simple and true.

Our stainless hoods are made from SS304.

We use 14-gauge copper for all of our kitchen sinks and 16-gauge copper/brass/stainless for our hoods and bar sinks. Note that the lower the gauge, the thicker the sheet of copper. Stainless steel sinks typically come in 18-20 gauge.
Your copper/brass hood will not oxidize. All our copper products have a clear coat baked onto them to preserve the color.

Your sink basin is not clear-coated; it’s a living finish that will develop a beautiful patina over time.

VENTILATION SYSTEMS

We offer Trade Wind vent systems for purchase with your hood (in-hood, in-attic, and no-motor options). We can also build a hood around the following specified ventilation systems:

Best CP3 and CP5 series
Zephyr Monsoon Series
Wolf PL Series
Ventahood
Thermador

We custom-fit our hoods to prevent any gaps between the hood and the vent. Just call us with the dimensions, and we'll get started 866-672-3401.

The motor fan is inside your CopperHood, and the liner insert is flush or recessed in the bottom of the hood.

This system requires an accessible attic space. The blower is mounted in an attic and wired to the liner. This option is quieter as the blower is further away from your ear than the in-hood blower. The insert also sits flush with the hood.
This system is used with a separate external blower system outside your building. This is the quietest option of any vent system since the blower is entirely outside of the building.

In Hood Systems:
290 CFM - 6" Round Duct
390 CFM - 7" Round Duct
390 CFM - 3.25" x 10" Rectangular Duct
600 CFM - 8" Round Duct
1200 CFM - 10" Round Duct

In Attic Systems:
392 CFM - 6" Round Duct
836 CFM - 8" Round Duct
1266 CFM - 10" Round Duct

CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS

Give us a call at 866-672-3401, and we can discuss your options. We can make just about any hood design that you may not see on our website. And we have built custom apron motifs in the past. Any pictures you provide will be very helpful.
Bars are .5” x .5” square pieces of copper that are spot-welded onto the hood body in a vertical format. They can be any patina and are only done on copper hoods.

Straps are typically 1" wide and lay flat along the body of your hood. They can be in any material and in any color of your choosing.

Our rivets are 0.5" in diameter and are typically added to the straps for a more "old world" aesthetic. We also offer 2" diameter rivets that many customers have added to the aprons of their copper hoods.

COPPER SINK FAQ

All of our dimensions are taken from outside edge to outside edge. Our copper kitchen sinks 33" and above are made with 2" rims. Sinks less than 33" have 1" rims. If the sink is a double bowl then the middle divider is 1". All of our prep, bar, trough, and bath sink have 1" rims.
