What "USA Range Hood" Doesn't Want You to Know

Pull up a chair, folks. We need to talk about a name game that's fooling homeowners—and I'm not going to sugarcoat it.

Over the past few weeks, I've had multiple customers ask me about a company called "USA Range Hood." The name alone is doing a lot of heavy lifting, isn't it? It practically screams "Made in America" without actually saying it.

So I did what any curious Midwesterner would do: I dug in.

The Email That Said It All

I reached out to USA Range Hood directly. Simple question: where are your hoods made?

After some back and forth, here's what they finally admitted:

"We relocated our workshop overseas in 2023. And we have several overseas workshops."

There it is. Despite the patriotic name, USA Range Hood manufactures overseas. They've been doing so since 2023—which, given that they appear to be a brand-new operation, means they've always manufactured overseas.

The name isn't a statement of origin. It's a marketing strategy.

A Familiar Playbook

Here's where it gets interesting. A sharp-eyed customer pointed out that USA Range Hood uses nearly identical language to Fobest—phrases like "artisan craftsman overseas" appear on both sites. Their product photos have a familiar look. Their site structure follows the same template.

Coincidence? Maybe. But in this industry, I've learned that when three or four "different" companies use the same fabricator, the same stock photos, and the same copy... they're often the same operation wearing different masks.

We've seen this pattern before. In our comparison guide, we documented how Fobest, Sinda, and RangeHoodMaster all appear to share a fabrication source—and possibly ownership. USA Range Hood fits that mold a little too neatly.

What's Missing From Their Story

Visit USA Range Hood's "About Us" page. You'll find lovely prose about "master artisans" and "the warmth of human touch." What you won't find: any actual people.

They do list an address: 10613 Jasmine Street, Fontana, CA 92337. Sounds legitimate, right? But pull up Google Maps and you'll find that address belongs to Economy Packaging Inc.—a packaging supply warehouse. No showroom. No design studio. No copper being hammered into shape.

It's a shipping address. A waypoint for packages arriving from overseas before they're forwarded to your door with a California label.

Compare that to our story. You'll see Adam and Jennelle. You'll see me with my family. You'll see Susan and Jack—our fabrication partners since 2013. Real people, real photos, real relationships built over more than a decade.

We're not hiding behind a warehouse address. We're standing behind our work.

The Real Cost of the Name Game

Why does this matter? Because when something goes wrong—and with a $3,000+ custom piece, you want to know who's got your back—you need to know who you're actually dealing with.

USA Range Hood's FAQ spells out their terms:

  • 50% deposit required. Non-refundable once the design drawing is approved.

  • 9-14 weeks standard lead time. Maybe longer during holidays.

  • No changes once production starts.

  • Cancellation after 48 hours? All sales final.

That's a lot of trust to place in a company that won't tell you where they're located or who's running the show.

The CopperHoods Difference

Look, I'll be straight with you—because that's what we do.

CopperHoods works with fabrication partners overseas too. We've never hidden that. Susan and Jack have been part of our family since 2013. We talk to them daily. We know their kids' names. When there's an issue, I'm on the phone with them directly—not routing through some anonymous support queue.

The difference isn't where the hoods are made. It's who stands behind them.

When you work with CopperHoods, you work with me. Directly. I'm the one who'll help you nail the dimensions, choose the right finish, and make sure your hood arrives exactly as promised. Our 7-9 week lead times aren't a best-case estimate—they're what we deliver. Our BBB A+ rating isn't bought—it's earned through thousands of customers who got exactly what they were promised.

And when you call our number? A real person answers. Usually someone who actually knows copper.

The Bottom Line

A name is just a name. "USA Range Hood" sounds American, but it's not. It sounds established, but it's brand new. It sounds trustworthy, but it won't tell you who's behind the curtain.

Before you hand over a 50% deposit to a company hiding behind patriotic branding, ask the hard questions:

  • Who am I actually working with?

  • Where is my hood being made, and by whom?

  • What happens if something goes wrong?

If they can't answer clearly, you have your answer.

Ready to work with a company that doesn't play name games? Let's talk.
