ReviewsReal Kitchens, Real Satisfaction.

When I was designing my dream kitchen I knew that I wanted something that would really set it apart from other kitchens I had seen. My copper hood from CopperHoods really made the difference. It is not only beautiful, but the function of the hood is top notch. I can cook anything in my kitchen and all fumes are pulled up and away out of the house. Whether I am pan frying fish or meat, you cannot tell or smell, as it so effective. My experience with working with the designer, Adam, was fantastic. His commitment to meeting my satisfaction and level of client service was exceptional. The hood was more than I could have hoped for, and I am so glad that I went with CopperHoods. The whole process was done online and over the phone, and it was the easiest part of my kitchen remodel. They were extremely responsive and proactively called me to ensure that received my designs and was happy with the outcome. I would highly recommend CopperHoods to anyone who is looking to add a new hood in their kitchen.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our copper hood!!!! It's absolutely gorgeous. I was telling my husband if we ever moved the hood is the one thing is want to take with me (though the void in the wall left behind would be quite odd). The entire process was excellent. Adam helped with our questions & gave recommendations when needed. He communicated quickly & sent blueprints of our order for confirmation. He kept us up-to-date on the fabrication process and the hood arrived on time. We are very happy with our purchase & the hood has become the center point of our new beautiful kitchen. The pictures shown are beautiful, but the do not do the hoods justice. They are even more impressive in person. We highly recommend this company & will definitely use them again!

A great experience! I ordered a copper oven hood/vent with the matching sink. Adam sent me samples and always kept me informed concerning the making and shipment of my purchase. I have to say I ordered without seeing in person the quality of the items. I really took a chance on an expensive addition for my kitchen. They were better than I could have hoped for. The craftsmanship was excellent and came shipped in wooden containers. I ordered the soft pounded cooper with a grapevine apron. The apron has depth which make the grapes stand out. I would definitely order from this company again.

The range hood was custom made and more beautiful than I could have imagined. It is a hammered copper hood and is the show piece of my kitchen. They were very professional and delivered the product perfectly and timely. I could not be happier, this is the place to get your copper hood.

Valerie Gardner

We received both excellent customer service and a quality, custom copper range hood from CopperHoods for our client. As a construction and design firm, we interact with a number of manufacturers and suppliers. Ordering a custom product with extremely detailed specifications can be a challenging situation. Adam, was professional and prompt in his responses to our requests. When asked, he provided the details necessary for us to complete construction elements on the job site prior to the delivery of the custom range hood. We were thrilled with how the hood looked once installed. However, our biggest joy came from our client explaining it's one of the favorite features of their new house.

Kristy Brehm - Interiors Plus

Our kitchen remodel has just been completed and we are already receiving rave reviews of the sink and hood. We are so pleased and thankful for all your help in getting exactly the copper functional focal points we were hoping for to make our kitchen truly unique. I really appreciate your rapid response to my phone calls and emails. Your customer service from start to finish was outstanding. Thank You!

Linda Deis

Adam was responsive, knowledgeable, and PROFESSIONAL during every step of our hood design, purchase, and delivery. We've had many rave reviews and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Patina PerfectionFrom Polished to Aged Brilliance

Copper is a transition metal found in nature and has been used for thousands of years due to its exceptional properties. The surface of copper, the patina, gradually changes over time in a phenomenon caused by the surrounding environment. Patina alters the appearance and texture of the metal surface, often producing unique colors and textures that are distinct from the original metallic appearance. Many customers enjoy the one-of-a-kind features of copper, but we also understand our customers want the look of their beautiful new hood to last.

CopperHood’s copper kitchen hoods include a baked-on, clear coat for lasting protection. As specialists in the chemical element, we’ll advise you on how to get the exact copper look you desire now and in the future.

Smooth Finish

A smooth copper finish exudes a refined and elegant look, often associated with contemporary or modern kitchen designs. The sleek and polished appearance of smooth copper lends itself well to kitchens with clean lines and minimalistic aesthetics. Light reflects evenly and creates a consistent sheen. A smooth copper finish is an ideal choice for homeowners who appreciate a sleek and unobtrusive design element.

The Finish Smooth vs. Hammered Copper

CopperHoods offers smooth, soft-hammered and hard-hammered copper elements for kitchen range hoods. Several combinations of the following are available to achieve the right look.

Hammered Finish

On the other hand, a hammered copper finish brings a sense of texture and warmth to the kitchen. The artisanal quality of the hammered surface invokes a rustic and handcrafted feel, making it a popular choice for kitchens with a more traditional, farmhouse or eclectic style. The uneven texture of the hammered copper creates captivating light play as the surface interacts with various angles of light, adding depth and character to the space. This finish can evoke a sense of history and craftsmanship, making it a statement piece that draws attention and becomes a focal point of the kitchen. Choose a soft or heavy hammered textured finish for your desired look.

Wall vs. Island-Mounted Copper Hoods

Wall-mounted copper hoods are affixed to the wall behind the cooking area. Island-mounted copper hoods, on the other hand, are suspended from the ceiling above an island or peninsula. Wall-mounted hoods are often integrated with cabinetry, while island-mounted hoods showcase their design from all angles. The choice between the two depends on the kitchen layout, design preferences and the desired visual impact.

Any hood can be made to mount on a wall or over an island and may have a tolerance of +- 1/4"-1/2". Wall-mounted hoods can be as wide as your cooktop; however, island-mounted hoods should be at least 6 inches wider than the cooktop. The bottom of the hood should be between 30-36" above your cooktop.

This clear coat not only shields the copper from potential tarnishing but also preserves the lustrous appeal of the metal, maintaining its radiant hue. Simple dusting or cleaning with warm water and a soft rag is all that is necessary.
