Our “Seattle” Stainless Steel Hood Featured on HGTV
Our “Seattle” Stainless Steel Hood was chosen during a kitchen remodel by Galey Alix of HGTV’s Home in a Heartbeat. Alix redesigned the kitchen of top chef, Tasha, looking for a designer-worthy, family-friendly space. Alix chose a neutral palette and included gorgeous standalone pieces - like CopperHood’s “Seattle” range hood.
Alix used chic cowbell pendant lights in aged zinc, which pay homage to bars featured on the kitchen hood. Wood wall paneling was installed on the ceiling in a herringbone pattern. The naturalistic texture of the wood softens the stainless steel hood for a perfectly balanced space. The space is not too cold which can be a pitfall of modern design and steers closer to contemporary, avoiding the sometimes too-warm farmhouse style.
Other elements chosen by Alix include a designer ceramic bowl in worn black, white barstools with solid wood legs and European charcuterie boards. Paired with the stainless steel “Seattle” hood, Alix’s use of textures, colors and finishes is perfectly executed. Product information can be found on Alix’s website, Galey Alix Design.

About the Stainless Steel “Seattle” Kitchen Hood
CopperHoods was inspired by the architecture of Seattle when designing this hood. Seattle’s architecture has been influenced by the modernist movement, which emphasizes clean lines, simple forms and functional design. Some of the most iconic buildings in Seattle reflect this aesthetic. The “Seattle” stainless steel hood has an urban feel, but the simple design can easily be paired in warmer interior styles - as seen in this kitchen. CopperHoods allows you to customize your hood to your preferences. Before we begin, you’ll have the opportunity to review our CAD file. Many of our customers go through several cycles of edits before settling on a final design for their hood. You’ll receive a lifetime structural warranty on your hood when you work with us!
